Freeset
Freeset is a fair trade business offering employ-ment to women trapped in Kolkata's sex trade.
John and Susan Osborne have been working for over 34 years in Dacca, Bangladesh and Calcutta, India, establishing businesses that will provide employment for women trapped in the sex trade.
Their visit to us was the first time in 34 years that they had spent extended time in one church. While they were with us about 2000 CHF was raised from the sale of Freeset goods. Since then, we have continued to support the work of Freeset through our regular missions giving. This money has been used to help women get out of out of debt, and out of rooms in which they are compromised in the sex trade in Calcutta.
