Our Vision

The Youth Ministry at Westlake Church Lausanne seeks to reach out to young people with the love of God as revealed to us in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. The desire is to see each young person grow personally & spiritually, while exploring ideas, values, and faith with the help of supportive adult leaders and pastors. In a nut shell the youth group here at Westlake is fun, faith, and friends, usually with a little food thrown in to keep our engines going! Anybody between the ages of 11-18 is welcome to check us out.

The youth group is headed up by our Church Associate, Mark Bateman and his wife Nicola who relocated from Bradford, England in August 2010 to work with Westlake. Mark is also involved in students ministry, worship leading and preaching and is employed as a full time member of staff by the church. Nicola works part time at a primary school aged English learning centre.

John & Kim Bottimore & Carl & Gabrielle Svanstrom are also committed to the Young people here at Westlake. John & Kim moved from Phoenix, Arizona in Spring 2010, they have 2 teenagers in the youth group; Ellie (17) and Drew (15) and are a huge blessing to the ministry serving in many capacities. Carl & Gabrielle are originally from Sweden but have lived here in Switzerland for 20 years.  They have 2 teenagers in the youth group; Diedrik (17) and Antonia (14) The family kindly host Refuel every other Friday as well as help to lead small groups and serve us faithfully.
