Your first time at Westlake?

A warm welcome to you! We’re glad that you would like to visit our church and we’d like to make it as easy for you as possible.

Location
Westlake's congregation meets right in the center of Nyon, just two minutes walk from the train station. The address is Rue Juste Olivier 6, and you can find us on the North side of this east-west one-way street. If you’re coming by car, there’s a large open air car-park just a few minutes away in the direction towards the lake. Please click here for a map.
 
Service
Our service starts at 5:00 p.m. As you walk in the front door, greeters will be there to answer any of your questions and to hand you a weekly “bulletin” with lots of information for visitors. In addition, they will give you a newcomers pack, which will give you much more information about the church and activities you can be involved in. If you don’t get given one, please ask. Our worship service usually lasts about an hour and 15 minutes, during which we sing, pray, celebrate communion and spend about 30 minutes listening to the word of God explained. 

Children and Youth
The congregation has a “crèche” (which is French for nursery) for toddlers between the ages of 1 to 3 years old. There are also Sunday school classes for kids from 3 to 10 years old and a youth program for your teens between the ages of 11 to 18. Usually, kids and teens stay in the service for the “family” worship time, and then go to their classes.

We understand what it’s like to move to a new area – and the settling in process can often be daunting and especially so if you don’t speak the local language. Actually, because of our proximity to the greater Geneva area and its many international organizations, there are quite a few people attending Westlake who have already been in your shoes. Families are relocated to our area from the US, the UK, Australia, Africa… just about anywhere really, for assignments lasting up to three years and sometimes longer.
